Full Review:
The Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi (a NextAdvisor advertiser) is an excellent option for anyone who already has a Costco membership and is looking for a cash back card that reaps generous rewards. In fact, the benefits of this card are so good that it would even make sense for certain people to purchase the Costco membership for the sole purpose of getting the card.

Users will earn a generous 4% back on gas (up to $7K per year, then 1%), 3% back on restaurants and travel, 2% back on Costco and purchases, and 1% on all other purchases. The gas rewards are are pretty big perk to anyone who spends a decent amount on fuel each year. There are some exceptions, as gas purchased at superstores, supermarkets, convenience stores and warehouse clubs other than Costco doesn't qualify for the 4% back and instead earns 1% back, but overall this is a great deal. And getting 2% back at Costco year-round without any limits is great, particularly if you tend to spend a decent amount there.

Your earned cash back rewards are given as an annual reward coupon in your February billing statement, which can then be used for cash or for merchandise at Costco. This could be a potential issue for those who want to redeem their rewards more frequently than once a year. If it's a deal-breaker for you, consider the BankAmericard Cash RewardTM Credit Card which offers 2% back at wholesale clubs including Costco (for the first $2,500 in combined purchases quarterly) and has no annual fee.

In addition to the cash back rewards, the card offers a 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 7 months. This can be helpful in saving money on interest fees, especially if you need to (or want to) make a large purchase or two.

Overall, the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi is a great choice for anyone who shops frequently at Costco, and tends to spend more on gas, at restaurants and on travel. Note that you do need to be or become a Costco member to apply for this card.
