Our Detailed Review of This Card

Apply for This Card

The Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card makes earning and redeeming travel rewards easy and the card offers a great incentive to become a Bank of America® customer if you aren't one already.

Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card holders earn an unlimited 1.5 points for every $1 they spend on purchases. Plus, users will earn 25,000 online bonus points if you make at least $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening - that can be a $250 statement credit toward travel purchases! Redeeming your earned points is simple - just pay for your travel with your card and use your points toward a statement credit for all or a portion of your travel purchases. This means you can fly, stay or book your travel with whomever you'd like, however you'd like, giving you a ton of reward redemption flexibility. The card also placed well in our Travel Rewards Credit Card Analysis, with an average $1.50 flight and hotel redemption value for every $100 spent.

As an added perk, Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card customers with a qualifying Bank of America checking or savings account will automatically get a 10% bonus on every purchase. The 10% bonus will be added to the base points you earn on every purchase, so you don't have to do anything other than have the appropriate active account. And if you're a Gold, Platinum or Platinum Honors Bank of America customer, you'll earn even more of a bonus - from 25% to 75%! Cardholders will also benefit from no foreign transaction fees when they travel outside the United States.

In addition to the great reward earning potential, Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card users can reap the benefits of a 0% Introductory APR on purchases for 12 billing cycles, then 16.99% - 24.99% Variable APR on purchases. This 0% intro APR is a helpful tool for making both large and small purchases and not paying a dime in interest fees for a year.

We recommend the Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card to anyone looking for a $0 annual fee travel card with flexible redemption options (no blackout dates!) and good reward value. It's particularly appealing to those who are or want to become Bank of America customers in order to take advantage of the ongoing bonus opportunity.
