The American Express® Business Gold Card (a NextAdvisor advertiser) just got a major revamp. With an exciting special offer that includes valuable subscriptions and massive point-earning potential, the American Express® Business Gold Card is a great choice for those who have good credit, are able to pay off their balance in full each month, and don't mind paying an annual fee in exchange for top of the line rewards and benefits.

As a special intro offer, new cardholders will get up to a year-long subscription to G Suite Basic (a collection of Google apps) for 3 users and ZipRecruiter Standard — worth a combined value of $3,188. That's a premium nontraditional offer, but it's one that'll appeal to most businesses, especially those intending to grow in the next year or so. Where the American Express® Business Gold Card truly shines is in its simple and high-yield rewards. Cardholders will automatically earn 4X points per $1 spent on the 2 categories where their business spent the most each month (up to $150,000 in combined purchases) and 1X point per $1 spent on all other purchases. The available categories include (1) airfare purchased directly from airlines; (2) U.S. purchases for online, TV and radio advertising; (3) U.S. purchases made directly from select technology providers of computer hardware, software and cloud solutions; (4) U.S. purchases at gas stations; (5) U.S. purchases at restaurants; and (6) U.S. purchases for shipping. (For the American Express® Business Gold Card's full details on the rates and fees, please visit the terms page.)

Starting at 5,000 points, you can redeem your points for everyday business expenses, entertainment, dining, merchandise or travel. And if you use your points to book all or part of a flight through Amex Travel, you'll get 25% points back (up to 250,000 points back in a calendar year).

The American Express® Business Gold Card is a charge card, which means you need to pay the balance in full each month. However, the card also offers a Pay Over Time option that makes it more like credit cards with revolving credit. For payments over $100, cardholders can choose to carry the balance (up to your Pay Over Time limit) and pay a 16.49% - 24.49% Variable interest rate.

Prospective cardholders should keep in mind that the American Express® Business Gold Card has a pretty high annual fee of $295. However, with free employee cards with no annual fee, the valuable subscription bonus, a high rewards rate and a host of expense management tools and American Express perks, it could be well worth the fee.
