Our Detailed Review of This Card

Apply for This Card

The Citi Rewards+℠ Card by Citi (a NextAdvisor advertiser) features such a wide array of benefits that it’s easy to visualize its place in your wallet. To start, you’ll get a 15-month 0% intro APR on purchases, which means you won’t pay interest if you carry a balance, along with a 15-month 0% intro APR on balance transfers, (then it’s 13.49% - 23.49% (Variable)). There’s a 3% balance transfer fee ($5 minimum), but this one-time fee is likely a lot lower than your current credit card’s interest rate, making the balance transfer worthwhile.

On top of that, you’ll earn 15,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening — that bonus is worth $150 when you redeem it for gift cards via!

Plus, you’ll get an extra 10% of the points you redeem back (on the first 100,000 points redeemed per year) that you can redeem at the end of your next billing cycle. This means you’re getting rewarded for redeeming your points! Points can be redeemed for gift cards to over a hundred stores and restaurants. You can also use your rewards to make purchases on and or redeem for statement credit, charitable donations, travel and more.

While these perks make the first year worthwhile, the card’s ongoing rewards make it one you’ll want to keep in your wallet for years to come. That’s because you’ll earn 2X points at supermarkets and gas stations (up to $6,000/year in purchases, then 1X points) and 1X points on all other purchases.

As if those rewards and perks weren’t enough, you’ll also benefit from the card’s roundup bonus that earns even more points on most purchases. That’s because every purchase made with the Citi Rewards+℠ Card automatically rounds up to the nearest 10 points. For example, if you pay $2.95 for a cup of coffee, which at 1X point per $1 spent would earn 2.95 points, the bonus will round your points to the nearest 10 points and you’ll earn 10 points on that $2.95 purchase. This roundup bonus even applies to purchases made in the 2X categories! For example, if you fill up your gas tank for $57.75, which at 2X points per $1 spent would be 115.5 points, the bonus will automatically round your points up to a total of 120 points back.

Plus, this card has no annual fee and it’s available to those with good to excellent credit (generally considered a credit score of 700 or higher). Not to mention the fact that you’ll receive special access to exclusive tickets for thousands of events, complimentary movie screenings and more through Citi Private Pass.

Overall, the Citi Rewards+℠ Card is a smart choice for anyone who uses their credit card for all of their purchases. The 0% intro APR and 15,000-point bonus are appealing, but we especially love the roundup bonus, as it allows you to make the most of all of your big or small purchases.
