best credit cards for customer satisfactionUpdated: June 7, 2018

J.D. Power recently released its 2017 Credit Card Satisfaction Study. The survey, now in its eleventh year, strives to answer the question “which credit card issuer provides the highest level of customer satisfaction?” To that end, it tallied responses from over 22,000 credit card customers and looked at 6 different factors — interaction, credit card terms, billing and payment, rewards, benefits and services, and problem resolution.

Ultimately, the winner was American Express with 835 out of 1,000 points, but it was closely followed by Discover at 827 and Capital One with 808. Even better news for consumers, in today’s highly competitive marketplace all 3 issuers are offering terrific cards with considerable intro bonuses, great rewards and, of course, high overall customer satisfaction. We’ve selected our favorite top-rated card from each of the issuers and highlighted their information below.
