Bank of America credit cardsThe Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card is a choice cash back credit card, especially if you shop at wholesale clubs on a regular basis. This card earns a solid 3% cash back on gas and 2% cash back at wholesale clubs and grocery stores on up to $2,500 in combined gas/grocery/wholesale club purchases every quarter, as well as 1% on all other purchases. If you apply online, you’ll be eligible to earn a $150 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases within the first 90 days of your account being open. As we noted above, Bank of America bank account holders earn even more with a 10% customer bonus every time they redeem their rewards into a checking or savings account — that bonus can increase 25% to 75% if you have a higher-tier account. On top of these top-notch cash back rewards, cardholders also get a 12-month 0% intro APR on both purchases and balance transfers (note that each transfer will be subject to a fee equal to 3% or $10, whichever is more) and won’t have to pay an annual fee.

Bank of America credit cardsThose who would like to give back while they earn rewards can take comfort that every time they swipe their Susan G. Komen Credit Card, 0.08% of the amount will go to the Susan G. Komen Fund. The fund will also receive $3 when you activate your card within 90 days of approval. As a sister card to the Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card (noted above), this card earns similar rewards, including 3% cash back on gas, 2% cash back on groceries and wholesale club purchases (up to the $2,500 quarterly maximum in combined purchases) and 1% cash back on everything else. The intro bonus and ongoing 10% Bank of America customer bonus also apply, and Susan G. Komen Credit Card owners will enjoy a 12-month 0% intro APR on their purchases and any balance transfers (3% or $10 minimum balance transfer applies).

Are there any downsides to Bank of America credit cards?

It’s important to note that all the cards we’ve reviewed for this post require good to excellent credit for approval (both of our highlighted small business credit cards require excellent credit), which is typically considered to be scores above 700.
