Bottom Line:
Industry leader offers good value VoIP plans and compelling packages that include email, voice, and web conferencing
Full Review:

Apptix has been a full-service provider of business communications tools for small and medium-sized businesses since 1997. In fact, it provides everything from web hosting services to online backup to more than 20,000 companies worldwide. It's the business VoIP solutions, however, that draw our attention.

Three Unlimited Calling Plans

VoIP can be a significant money and time saver over traditional phone services. Using the Internet for your business calling needs makes everything easier, from adding new extensions to managing employee phone use. Apptix offers three different unlimited calling plans: Premium Service, Business Service, and Basic Service. The Premium Service comes with every feature any business user could possibly need.. For $39.99 per month per phone (plus activation fees), users get unlimited inbound and outbound calling (US and Canada), voicemail, call forwarding, find-me/follow-me functionality and much, much more. If you buy at least four extensions, you'll also get a free auto-attendant for answering and routing calls. If you want a faxing solution, you'll find the Apptix Desktop Fax a nice option for $16.99 per month.

Apptix's price structure can be difficult to parse, so we recommend that those considering switching to Apptix call the company's customer service line to discuss a quote to fit a specific business's needs. In general, pricing is per handset and can be mixed and matched together from a number of different plans, but predicting activation and setup fees with Apptix is particularly difficult unless you have arranged a specific service quote.

Unified Communications Package

For those businesses looking to totally revamp their communication tools, the Unified Communications package is worth looking into as well. While it requires an annual commitment, it couples a number of useful features, including hosted email, unlimited calling, and web conferencing for $54.95 per user per month.

Specialized Phones

You can order specialized VOIP phones either through Apptix or through a third-party reseller like Amazon.com. Apptix has the popular Polycom phones starting at around $100.00.

24/7 Customer Support

Apptix sets itself apart from other business VOIP providers with their 24/7 toll-free, phone-based customer support ensuring prospective customers’ peace of mind. Not every VoIP company offers support for customers around the clock. All in all, Apptix is a real VoIP powerhouse. For companies that need multiple communications services, we think it's especially worth a look.
