Erik Larson, President & Founder
Erik founded NextAdvisor.com in 2006 after becoming frustrated at his inability to find useful, easy-to-read comparisons of various online services. Erik was previously President of MetaReward, a performance-based advertising network which he co-founded in 1999. Erik helped grow MetaReward from inception through its sale to Experian in 2003. Under his leadership, the company doubled its revenue and profit every year. When Erik left his position at MetaReward in March 2005, it was one of the largest performance-based ad networks in the world and was a key facilitator of transactions between millions of consumers and hundreds of service providers including American Express, Bank One, Blockbuster, BMG, Chase, Columbia House, Citibank, Discover, eBay, MBNA and Time Warner.
Prior to founding MetaReward, Erik worked for three years as an Analyst and then Associate in investment banking at Robertson Stephens. While there, he worked directly on the execution of over 25 public company transactions including IPOs, acquisitions and convertible securities sales for technology companies including Siebel Systems, BEA Systems, JD Edwards and Aspect Development. Erik also did a business school internship in the summer of 1999 working for the senior executive team of CNET.
Erik received an AB from Princeton in Economics with High Honors and attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business for one year before leaving to co-found MetaReward.
