| Top site for business-related offerings; simple, consistent interface and competitive pricing | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

BizFilings is more organized and more robust than any other incorporation-specific online legal service that we've reviewed. Although their services are limited to business-related filings, they offer a more robust selection than other business-specific sites. Their simple and clear interface and competitive pricing make them a top choice for your business-related legal needs.
Pricing One of the positives about BizFilings is their pricing structure, which makes everything very simple. Whether you are filing an S-Corp or a Non-Profit Corporation, the price is $97 for the basic plan, $247 for the standard plan and $347 for the complete plan. Along with filing the documents, the basic plan includes extras such as certified copies of your documents, 6-months of registered agent service and unlimited phone and email support. On top of all of that, the standard plan also includes a compliance kit and seal, customizable corporate forms, expedited services and overnight shipping. The complete plan includes everything above as well as a Federal Tax ID and compliance DVD that helps you stay up-to-date on all compliance forms and deadlines. Another plus is that BizFilings displays a box on the side of the webpage that keeps track of your total. As you add other options to your legal documents, the price will update so you always know how much you are spending. BizFilings also gives you the option of paying by PayPal instead of a credit card, which is a nice alternative option to have. Unlike many of the other business legal service sites that we reviewed, BizFilings does not offer an actual trademark filing option. They do offer a trademark screening tool ($19.95) so that you can search to see if the name of your business is already trademarked, and a tool to reserve a name to use in the future ($35), but there is no option for actually filing a trademark. Features BizFilings does exactly what its name suggests; it allows you to file paperwork for any business that you would like to create. Whether it be an LLC or an S-Corp, BizFilings has all of the options covered. However, there are few options besides those. BizFilings does one thing and does it well. The few other options that BizFilings does have are geared to helping you run your business. These include filing a DBA, Dissolution, Business Licenses, Federal Tax ID and other forms that you will need to keep your business compliant with the law. Interface BizFilings has the simplest interface of any of the online legal services we reviewed. No matter what form you are on, the interface has the same simple, easy-to-use structure. Its consistency and simplicity make it a no brainer for even the least tech-savvy user. Each of BizFilings' different form options starts with a full explanation of the form, including definitions, FAQs, and even facts and laws that pertain to the different states you may be filing in. Once you click on Get Started, the first place BizFilings takes you is the pricing information, which includes a detailed breakdown of all the different pricing structures, as well as more FAQs about the pricing. After you pick a pricing structure, BizFilings will take you through the form, asking you questions along the way to help you file the correct information. The whole process takes less than 15 minutes, if you have your business's information at hand. BizFilings also keeps a green bar in the upper right hand corner that lets you know your progress while filling out the online forms, which is an added benefit that most other legal service sites don't offer. Since many of these more complicated forms can be pages and pages long, it's good piece of mind to know how much is left. Support BizFilings has a number of ways to contact their support system, including a toll-free support number, a chat function and a support email address. The most efficient of these is the chat function. A representative connected with us right away and provided prompt and informative answers to our questions. The only issue is that the chat function is not always available. It says that you can chat with a representative on Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but that is not always the case. A few times that we tried to use the chat function during the scheduled hours, it was not available. Calling the toll free number is also fairly easy. There is an automated system, but there are only a few options to choose from before you are connected to a representative. If there is a wait and you don't want to be on hold, you can leave a message and have a representative get back to you within a half hour. Depending on the time of day and the volume of users who need help, both of which can cause delays, the email option can also be quick and helpful. Conclusion BizFilings is a solid company to use for your incorporation needs. It has a simple and easy-to-understand interface along with competitive pricing and solid customer service. They also offer more of the filings options a new business may need when incorporating or running their business. The only downside is that they don't offer any kind of personal guidance, like CorpNet's Business Consultation. Overall, though, BizFilings is our top pick for an incorporation-specific legal site.
