Each month, ShoeDazzle will present you with new styles that will expand your closet to new heights — literally, there are a lot of heels. Out of all the fashion clubs we reviewed, Kim Kardashian's ShoeDazzle received our highest marks. From the fun and accurate survey to the wide selection of shoes, the overall shopping experience was definitely enjoyable. The shoes themselves were nice and for the most part worth the monthly value of $39.95. Getting Started To start shopping you must first take ShoeDazzle's style quiz. The survey is photo-based and visually stimulating — especially if you love looking at shoes. The questions include "Which shoe is the most you?" and "Which is the shoe that your closet most calls for?" Later in the survey you will be asked to choose between your favorite designers and brands. This can be frustrating if you do not follow designers, but ShoeDazzle does a good job of representing them with photos. Like all of the other fashion clubs, ShoeDazzle also includes celebrities in their survey, asking whose style you relate to and like the most. Lastly, the survey will ask for your age range, dress size, and most importantly, shoe size. Before revealing their collections, ShoeDazzle will ask you to register with your name and email. You are then notified through email that your ShoeDazzle showroom will be ready in 24 hours. Showroom For the most part, our reviewers were presented with personal showrooms that reflected their styles; however, some were frustrated with the small selection of flats and overwhelmed with the large number of high heels and platforms. Though the site has some boots, flats, and sneakers to choose from, these styles are less featured on the site. Thus, if you prefer high heels, then ShoeDazzle caters much more to you. The same goes for their competition, JustFabulous. Make sure to not only look at your showroom, but at all of the different collections — there are more styles hiding around the corner. And, despite its name, the site doesn't only feature shoes. There are purses, jewelry, and accessories all for the same price of $39.95. Skip the Month If you decide that you don't want anything one month, you can sign into your account within the first five days of that month and select the "Skip the Month" button. This way, you will not be charged. On the other hand, if you do not choose an item or the Skip the Month option before the sixth day of each month, you will be charged your $39.95 membership fee and receive one ShoeDazzle credit, redeemable for any item on the site. Credits expire after 12 months and you can accumulate a maximum of five. ShoeDazzle will never send you anything that you did not manually select! Ordering Once you pick the item you want, checkout is easy. After entering your shipping and credit card information, ShoeDazzle will take 20% off your first purchase. The "classic pink" shipping is free and takes 5-10 business days. ShoeDazzle then sends a confirmation email immediately after the order is complete. In the meantime, ShoeDazzle is a little excessive in their emailing, sending special deals and information every day. If you mind a lot of messages in your inbox, you have been warned. On Your Doorstep ShoeDazzle keeps their 5-10 business day promise; most of our editors received their items within 5 business days. The packaging was nothing extraordinary but the item did come in a pink ShoeDazzle box and included a pink ShoeDazzle Shoe bag (purse bag if you ordered a purse). Overall, we give the shoe quality 4 stars. For the price of $39.95, we were pleased with the shoes and how they matched their photos and descriptions online. Some felt a little stiff and others had small signs of glue; however, you get what you pay for and these shoes are definitely a tier above Payless and a step below Nordstrom Rack. Most of the shoes are branded ShoeDazzle, but one of our editors also got a name brand shoe that she really liked. This particular pair of sandals was made by the trendy brand, MIA. All of the shoes fit true to size as well — something very important when it comes to online shopping. One of the handbags we received had fake leather that looked cheap and a heavy and uncomfortable metal chain, but a different one could have been better. Many times it is a hit or miss when ordering clothes and accessories online for a low price, but you can always return or exchange the item! Customer Support ShoeDazzle deserves its high rating also because among the other fashion clubs it has the best customer service, easiest cancellation process, and speedy return/exchange process. All of our editors were able to speak to a live person very quickly. The representatives were friendly and did not push you to stay or buy more like other fashion clubs did. The return label inside of the package made it simple to return anything we didn't want (note that there is a $5.95 restocking fee when making a return). Conclusion With its good value and helpful customer service, ShoeDazzle rules supreme in our fashion club tests. Have fun taking the survey — whether you actually purchase anything is completely up to you. Being presented with new collections every month is exciting and a great way to add style to your closet on the cheaper side of the shoe chain. Whether you skip every other month or buy 3 pairs of shoes right off the bat, taking a look at ShoeDazzle is worthwhile if you love shoes! |
