With products ranging from jewelry, handbags, makeup, scarves and much more, Send The Trend is definitely the most versatile of the fashion clubs. They have pages worth of cute finds all at the low set price of $29.99. They even offer sweet deals like buying $70 worth of stuff for only $50. A lot of their products look like a great value, for example, the jewelry that mimics designer collections without the designer price. Not only that, but we loved the infinity scarf we ordered. Thus, the great selection, good value and pleasing quality lands this fashion club in our top ranks. Getting Started After registering with your name and email, Send The Trend wants you to fill out a fun fashion survey so they can get to know your personal style. This survey is very similar to Stylemint's and Jewelmint's surveys. It mainly presents you with celebrity styles, asking you to choose what you are more likely to wear. Your Gallery After finishing the survey, you are redirected to your "Gallery." At first, we were a little disappointed to find only 5 items in the gallery. In fact, these items didn't really exemplify our personal style at all. You can click "View More", and 5 more items will show up in your gallery. These also weren't very spot-on; however, hovering over the "Shop Trends" tab gives you dozens of different collections filled with a variety of different items. This is where Send The Trend really impressed us. There were collections filled with nice gift items, a collection with different types of eyeliner and eyeshadow, nail polishes, belts, handbags, spring-themed items, and the list goes on. Hovering over an item shows someone wearing it, so you can actually see what it looks like on. Clicking on "View Next Collection" at the bottom of each page takes you from one great selection to the next. The hardest part is actually picking what you want to buy! Furthermore, a lot of the items seemed like a good deal. For example, they had makeup packages that consisted of 4 different types of nail polish or an eyeliner and mascara combo. Though we did not actually test the quality of the makeup products, it seems like a good value. Finally, there is a "My Style" tab, where you can collect credits by making your own gallery; however, you must send in your email address to be invited to use this function — we were number 1,213 on the wait list. Skip the Month Send The Trend will never send you something you didn't order. In fact, if you forget to choose an item in the first five days of the month, you will be issued a credit which you can later redeem for any item. If one month you decide that you do not want anything, you can click the "skip" button within the first five days of the month, located on the top left of the page under the "My Gallery" tab directly under the month and year. Ordering and Customer Service After ordering an item, a confirmation email is immediately sent. Another perk of this service is that Send The Trend's customer support is super fast. You have 3 ways of contacting them: email, phone and live chat. We selected the live chat to quickly ask if Send The Trend's makeup and beauty products are tested on animals. We got a very quick response and Lindsey, the customer service rep, told us that none of Send The Trend's makeup is tested on animals. The FAQ section is very comprehensive as well, even answering questions like what ingredients are in Send The Trend's nail polish. Product Quality The "Allie Chunky Black Eternity Scarf" we ordered looked just as great in person as it did on the site. It was, in fact, "chunky", and of course warm. The material was really soft and the knit seemed quite sturdy. In general, Send The Trend does really stay on top of the latest trends, sometimes even more so than some of the other clubs. This scarf was no exception. After one of our editors took it home, she told us that she still wears it all the time and even gets compliments on this practical, chic buy. Conclusion Though their style survey isn't as accurate as other sites', their comprehensive closet makes up for it. You may even be surprised at all the different types of accessories they offer. We were very happy with the scarf we ordered, and give the quality 5 stars. Like all the clubs, it's free to sign up and browse. If you're looking to get happily lost in a wide selection of cute stuff, we recommend Send The Trend. |
