Bottom Line:
TransUnion credit report monitoring; couple's discount; no money-back guarantee

Full Review:
In addition to basic credit repair services, CreditRepair.com offers a number of extras like mobile apps and credit report monitoring to help you get the most out of your subscription. Although the website is easy to navigate, we found it slightly difficult to find the information we wanted as many of the links direct you to the same promotional page with limited information.

Pricing

CreditRepair.com charges $99.95 at signup, and you can expect to pay this same amount every month afterwards. The only additional fee you will incur is a one-time charge of $14.99 to cover the cost of pulling your credit report, which is done over the phone through TransUnion during your initial assessment. Aside from this initial fee, there are no extra fees for additional services or any other plans to consider. If you are signing up with a spouse, CreditRepair.com offers a $50 discount per person, which applies to your first month's bill. It's important to note that you must sign up together in order to be eligible for this discount.

Unfortunately, unlike some of the other credit repair services we review, CreditRepair.com does not offer any kind of guarantee if you're dissatisfied with its services. While no credit repair company can promise specific results, since credit repair depends on each individual's specific credit report, we were disappointed that CreditRepair.com does not offer some form of money-back guarantee like its competitors, especially considering there are other, less expensive options that do offer a guarantee.

Services

CreditRepair.com offers a free consultation before signing up; this allows you to get an idea of how it would tackle your specific credit repair needs. If you decide to sign up after this consultation, a representative from CreditRepair.com will call you to discuss your credit report assessment with what it calls a "customized game plan" to help you decide which items you'd like to dispute, and which items are your top priority.

Once you have decided which derogatory items should be contested, CreditRepair.com will begin contacting your creditors as well as the three credit bureaus to ensure any changes promised by creditors have been carried out. You can stay updated on all the progress being made with access to a personalized dashboard that shows each negative item along with its status and any actions being taken to get it changed or removed. The dashboard also contains graphs of your estimated credit score, which are updated monthly to reflect the status and progress. While CreditRepair.com is careful to say this is not your actual credit score, it works with TransUnion to project an estimate of your credit score as well as a detailed analysis to help you understand where you stand.

One of the highlights of CreditRepair.com's service is the availability of a mobile app for Android and iOS devices plus customizable email and text message alerts so you can stay informed of what your money is paying for no matter where you are. It also has an extensive collection of articles and a frequently updated blog to help further your education about credit and credit repair.

Reliability

CreditRepair.com has been in business for 15 years and holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau with only a handful of complaints lodged against them on the BBB website (all of which have been resolved). Its accreditation with the BBB and affiliation with the TransUnion credit bureau also boosts the company's credibility.

Customer Service

We found CreditRepair.com's customer service to be decent, but somewhat lacking. The service offers email and phone support, for both current customers and non-customers, which is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. ET, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Our email was responded to promptly, but rather than answering our fairly simple question, the response directed us to call phone support, which we found to be a bit frustrating.

Conclusion

Overall, CreditRepair.com provides professional, hands-on credit repair services, however, it's rather pricey for what little it offers, and the lack of any sort of money-back guarantee is concerning. That being said, there are more advanced services that cost much less, such as Lexington Law and Ovation that users may want to consider first.
