Good gas rebate card; 0% intro APR for purchase & transfer; $150 Restaurant.com card after first purchase
Full Review:
Discover® Open Road card is a good fit for those in search of a gas/restaurant card with a 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers. However, it will not be especially rewarding to cardholders who spend significantly more than $250 on gas and restaurants each month, or who will not easily reach the $3,000 threshold necessary to begin earning a full 1% cash back.

Rewards
  • Unlimited cash back rewards.
  • Monthly Spend Rewards: Earn 2% cash back on your first $250 in combined gas and restaurant purchases each month.
  • Annual Spend Rewards: For the first $3,000 spent, earn 0.25% cash back on all purchases. Once you have spent $3,000 with your card annually, you will earn 1% cash back on all other purchases, including any gas and restaurant purchases that exceed the $250 monthly limit.

Redeem Rewards
  • Rewards are redeemable in $20 increments.
  • Deposit into your bank account or credit your Discover card account.
  • Turn your cash rewards into more when you redeem for gift cards or eCertificates from over 100 brand-name Partners.

Fees and APR
  • No annual fee.
  • 0% Intro APR: 0% APR for the first 12 months, then purchase APR.
  • Purchase APR: 10.99-20.99% (Variable) APR.
  • Balance Transfer: 0% APR for the first 12 months, then purchase APR. 4% transfer fee for balance transfers with the 0% introductory APR balance transfer offer, otherwise, either a $10 or 5% transfer fee (whichever is greater) thereafter.
