Best No-Fee Travel Rewards CardsTravel rewards credit cards are a great asset to any frequent traveler, but the unfortunate reality is that many of the best travel credit cards charge annual fees. While these fees aren’t a big deal to some, as the rewards and perks they get with the membership make the card worthwhile, others are repulsed by the idea of paying an annual fee. To help out these individuals, we’ve decided to detail some travel rewards cards without annual fees. Keep reading to see which ones are the best no-fee travel rewards cards that we’ve reviewed.

Discover it Miles

best no-fee travel rewards cardsKicking off our list of the best no-fee travel rewards cards is Discover it Miles, which earns unlimited 1.5 miles per $1 spent on all purchases and offers a unique bonus opportunity. At the end of your first year as a cardholder, Discover will match all of the miles you’ve earned throughout the year — this means if you earn 50,000 miles in the first year, Discover will match that amount and give you a total of 100,000 miles back! When it’s time to redeem your miles, you can redeem them for statement credit to cover a travel purchase (airline tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals, travel agents, online travel site and commuter transportation) made within the last 180 days or for cash as an electronic deposit into your bank account. Regardless of how you redeem your miles, every 100 miles is equal to $1. On top of getting a 14-month 0% intro APR on purchases, Discover it Miles cardholders will pay no annual or foreign transaction fees and get a free copy of their FICO credit score on their monthly statements and online account. Cardholders can also take advantage of Discover’s new identity theft protection alerts, and this card is available to those with average to excellent credit (usually considered a credit score of 670 or higher), which means it’s a solid option for those with not-so-perfect credit.
