Kaspersky 2013 Review: Internet Security's New Features Add to Already Impressive Suite

Kaspersky's updates last year were enough to catapult it towards the top of the security software list, so we were anxious to see what Kaspersky had in store for this year's edition. While much of the same interface and functionality remains from the 2012 version, the 2013 software adds some top-of-the-line features that make Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 one of the best security software suites that we've seen.

Kaspersky improved its already impressive library of features including updated Parental Controls, its Safe Mode feature which is now named Quarantine, and its monitoring features which include both application and network monitoring. In addition Kaspersky has added a couple impressive features that take it above and beyond in 2013:

Safe Pay: This feature allows you to use your online banking services in a separate, protected browser. You can also choose to do your online shopping in the browser to further protect your identity.

Critical Areas Scan: This is a quick scan that scans only the programs that are loaded during your computer's startup to make sure they are protected.

Vulnerability Scan: This feature not only scans the computer for vulnerabilities, but will also analyze and, in certain cases, take over control of certain programs to rectify any issues.

In addition to the new features, Kaspersky has also upped its performance game with a sleek version of the 2012 interface that moves fluidly from one feature to the next.
