Do Credit Report Monitoring Services Show Your Complete Credit Report History?

Posted by

Q:  I am looking for a service that shows all 7 years of each reporting agency. Does TrustedID show all 7, or do they only report the last 2 years.

A:   When you sign up for TrustedID's credit report monitoring service you'll be able to see your complete credit report history from all 3 credit bureaus. In fact, any credit reporting service that states they provide a credit report (or all 3 reports) should be showing you the complete report. That's because a credit report is a living compilation of your credit data – not just 2 or 7 years worth.

It's important to note that items stay on your credit report for different periods of time. As you move through time, information is added and removed from your report. For example, bankruptcy information will stay on your report for 15 years while most delinquencies will remain for 7 years.

In addition to providing all 3 credit reports and scores at signup, TrustedID also includes 3-bureau credit monitoring, a host of identity theft protection features and a free 14-day trial. Our editorial team has given TrustedID top marks, but you can also take a look at our other credit monitoring service reviews.
