What's the Best Service for 50 People Searches?
Posted by Mary
Q: What is the best people search service if I need to do 50 searches over the course of about a month?
A: That depends on how much detail you need. Most of the people search services we've used do not rely on a subscription model; you pay by the search. The one exception to this is Net Detective, which offers three years of unlimited access for $19.95 with our discount (enter the promo code NDCC1 when prompted during checkout to receive $10 off the regular price of $29.95).
The downside to Net Detective is that the information is not nearly as detailed as what you would get from our top choice, Intelius. The basic Net Detective search is generally limited to address history and income information. If you need more detailed reports, we recommend Net Detective Law Enforcement Edition, which offers a three day trial for $10 or charges $29.95 on a month-to-month basis. For $29.95, you get unlimited criminal background searches for one month. For 50 background checks in a month, it's certainly the least expensive option.
If you need even more detailed information, you may have to go with one of the other services we review, which charge by the search and will be considerably more expensive. Our favorite service, Intelius, charges $1.95 for a basic people search, including address history, age, phone number, and information about relatives. If you plan to run a number of people searches in a single day, Intelius also offers an unlimited 24 hour people search pass for $19.95. For a detailed background check, including a criminal check, bankruptcy information, property ownership records, marriage and divorce records, and data about relatives and associates, the service charges $49.95 per name. Other options for detailed background checks include IntegraScan and US Search, both of which are similar in price to Intelius.
