What does "after 50% discount" mean?

Q: Hello, We were thinking about getting [McAfee Total Protection] and we were wondering what does it mean when it says #39.99/ yr for up to 3 users AFTER 50% DISCOUNT? What does that last part mean? Thank You
A: The regular price for McAfee Total Protection is $79.99, but customers who sign up through NextAdvisor.com receive an exclusive discount and pay only $39.99.
