Apple retracts anti-virus recommendation

Apple has deleted the note that encouraged Mac users to install Internet security software, explaining that it was old and inaccurate. Though Apple is now reassuring customers that Mac computers are sufficiently protected "right out of the box," users who are concerned about browser or application based threats may still wish to consider one of the several Internet security software services that protect Mac systems.
