Data Breach Alert: MTV exposes personal data of 5,000 employees

Computer file containing names, birth dates, social security numbers and compensation data of about 5,000 MTV Networks employees was exposed to an unauthorized individual according to a memo sent to impacted employees this week.
The Internet connection on a company computer was compromised by an outside party which exposed he the employee personal data according to a statement by MTV Networks Executive Vice President for Human Resources, Catherine Houser.
