Posted by Joe on March 5th, 2008
The Wall Street Journal highlighted several small business, many under ten employees, that are seeing significant cost savings and competitive advantages by using VoIP instead of traditional telephone service in an article published this week.
Some of the key benefits of voice over IP service for small businesses highlighted in the article include:
- Little or no set up or maintenance cost versus traditional phone systems that can cost small businesses thousands, or even tens of thousands, of dollars to set up plus more to maintain.
- Advanced calling features such as call forwarding, web based monitoring of phone system usage and online voicemail.
- Cheap or unlimited long distance plans whether calling within the United States or globally.
- Lower monthly costs with plans ranging from as low as $9.99 per month.
VoIP is clearly a great option for small business owners, but our research has shown that Internet telephone service will also save most consumers hundreds of dollars per year. You can learn more about by reading in our VoIP service provider reviews.
