Data Breach Alert: Nevada government agency loses personal data of job seekers

The Nevada Department of Public Safety has lost the personal information including social security numbers, addresses and background check information of 109 job applicants. The information was being processed by a private firm contracted by the agency when it was misplaced.
Nevada Department of Public Safety Spokesman Dan Burns said the applicants are being notified that their personal information has been lost and potentially compromised.
