Hi!I would like to add Memopal (www.memopal.com) at the list of online backup software. I use Memopal, a new product from Europe, very powerful and simple.
Memopal offers more...It allows to storage unlimited data, access from anywhere and from mobile, and the possibility to share data online via mail too. It seems very complete tool!

The most important thing is to not wait until your hard drive starts to go - it may be too late! Mozy is terrific.

Thanks for the comments on this blog. Just a couple of quick notes about Carbonite:

* You actually CAN access your backed-up files in times other than just a complete restore. For example, you can use the "Restore To" option to restore a single backed up file or folder to a new location. And starting with our new version (due for release within the next couple of weeks), you'll also be able to restore previous versions of a file. This is handy for times when you may realize (after saving and perhaps even backing up)that you made some changes to a file that you don't like.

* The new version I mentioned above includes a lot more "bells and whistles" - those frills you mentioned we're lacking - including scheduling, a restore wizard, better help within the program itself, the ability to manage your own private encryption key, and more.

* Our Mac version is due for release later this year.

Thanks again for mentioning us!

Sincerely,

Len Pallazola
